Please note that none of our employees or agents have the authority to vary any of our Policies.

This Policy only covers our collection, use and disclosure of your information through our Services. It does not cover any collection, use or disclosure by third parties through any applications, Web sites, products or services that we do not control or own, such as social networking plugins (like facebook, twitter, etc.), or any third party features or services made available via any of our Service(s). We shall not be liable for the collection, use and disclosure of your information by any third parties. We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you share your information. We cannot, and do not, control the information you share with other Users using our Services (including via Forums) or how such other Users will use or share such information. We are not responsible for third party circumvention of our security measures. All trademarks, trade names, and logos of third parties featured on our Services belong to their respective owners.

2. Information we collect (Personal)

‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII), as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. In the European context (GDPR), some personal information is also collected using cookies and other similar technologies.

  • We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it. When you purchase from us, place an order, make a request, submit a form or contact us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order

  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve our store offerings
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders. When visitors leave comments on the site or services we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on our services may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information forever for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

4. Use of “cookies” and other similar technologies

4.1. How and why

We, like many companies, use cookies, various identifiers and other tracking technologies on our Service(s), including HTTP cookies, HTML5 and Flash local storage, web beacons/GIFs, embedded scripts and e-tags/cache browsers etc. (All together referred to as trackers henceforth.)

We use both persistent (which remain until you delete them) and session (temporary, like those which remain only until you close your browser) trackers.

On some platforms, along with other trackers we also use identifiers for mobile devices (including Android Advertising ID and Advertising Identifier for iOS), or other first-party and third-party identifiers together.

We also use first-party and third-party trackers. First party trackers are used and controlled by us. Third-party trackers are controlled by third-parties and used mostly for the purpose of advertising and analytics.

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google use different kinds of trackers together to:

  • To enhance your experience, for example, by remembering your log-in status and viewing preferences from a previous use of our Service(s), to use when you later return to our Service(s).
  • Collect and Compile data about our Service(s) traffic and interactions in order to offer better service experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf.

  • Collect and Compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions, ad tracking and other ad service functions as they relate to our Service(s).
  • Deliver content, including ads, relevant to your interests on our Service(s) and third-party sites based on how you interact with our advertisements or content.
  • Tell us information, for example, whether you have visited our Service(s) before or if you are a new visitor and to help us identify the features in which you may have the greatest interest.
  • We also use cookies to maintain session of our users.
  • If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
  • If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
  • If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
  • It may be used to prevent fraudulent activity and improve security.

Please note that not all of our Service(s) use all of the trackers or all third party services as described in this document.

By using our Service(s) you agree to the use of cookies and other trackers as described in this document.

Opting out:

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You can do this through your browser settings. Since every browser is a little different, look at your browser’s Help to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. 4.2. Google and Firebase services

Google

We use Google services in our Services. By using our Service(s) you agree to the policy of Google as mentioned here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Firebase

Firebase Services are provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Any data collected will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers globally. By using our Service(s) you agree to the policy of Firebase as mentioned here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

We currently use the following firebase services or features:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase
  • Firebase Crashlytics
  • Firebase Crash Reporting
  • Firebase Remote Config
  • Firebase Dynamic Links
  • Firebase Hosting
  • ML Kit for Firebase

Google Analytics for Firebase helps us understand our users and how they use our apps including information about interactions with the user’s mobile applications. Google Analytics for Firebase uses the data to provide analytics and attribution information. The precise information collected can vary by the device and environment. For more information see: https://support.google.com/firebase/answer/6318039. It uses identifiers for advertising on mobile applications (for example, Android Advertising ID and Advertising Identifier for iOS), and we will collect the AAID and AIiOS to understand our users, but users who wish to opt-out of the AAID and AIiOS advertisement tracking and tracking by Google Analytics for Firebase can do so through device advertising settings for mobile apps (See opt out under Ads section).

Firebase Crashlytics provides us crash data associated with specific instances of the app. You can read more about how they processes data here: https://firebase.google.com/terms/crashlytics-app-distribution-data-processing-terms

Firebase Crash Reporting: For Crash Reporting, we collect information necessary to diagnose and resolve problems with mobile applications. It uses Instance IDs to measure number of users impacted by a crash.

Firebase Remote Config uses Instance IDs to select configuration values to return to end-user devices.

Firebase Dynamic Links uses device specs on iOS to open newly-installed apps to a specific page or context. Dynamic Links only stores device specs temporarily, to provide the service.

Firebase Hosting uses IP addresses of incoming requests to detect abuse and provide us with detailed analysis of usage data. Hosting retains IP data for a few months.

ML Kit for Firebase stores uploaded images temporarily, to process and return the analysis. Stored images are typically deleted within a few hours. Instance IDs are used by ML Kit when interacting with app instances, for example, to distribute developer models to app instances. Instance IDs also allow ML Kit to utilize Firebase Remote Config to ensure device-side APIs (e.g., topic lists and filters) are kept up to date.
